  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions

    Cook spaghetti in boiling water, following label directions; drain.

    Place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Stir in butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and egg until thoroughly combined. Spread mixture evenly in pan.
