  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions

    Cook spaghetti.

    Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Stir in butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and egg.

    Spread evenly in pan. Saute ground beef, onion and green pepper in oil until brown. Drain.

    Stir in spaghetti sauce, oregano, sugar and garlic salt. Spread cottage cheese over top.
