Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 c. cooking sherry
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 can tomatoes (16 oz.)
  • 1 can tomato paste (12 oz.)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    In a large frying pan, brown ground beef with onion, garlic and bell pepper.

    Drain excess grease.

    In a large saucepan (4-quart), combine remaining ingredients.

    Refill tomato paste and sauce cans with water and add.

    Add ground beef mixture.

    Simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes.

    Makes enough sauce for 1 pound of pasta.
