  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/2 cup Bread Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Yeast
  • 1 large Egg Yolk
  • 1 tbsp Water

Directions

    Place dough ingredients in bread machine in the order listed.

    Run on Dough Cycle.

    When complete, place dough in a grease bowl, turning to coat all sides.

    Punch down dough in bowl.

    Roll out dough on a lightly-floured surface, to 16x12 inches.

    Cut into two 8x12 pieces.

    Move to greased baking sheet and make deep, diagonal cuts every two inches.

    Beat egg yolk with water and brush over loaves.
