- 1 Tbsp. Crisco, melted
- 1 1/2 lb. meat loaf mix
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 small garlic clove
- 12 oz. can Contadina tomato paste (save can to measure water)
- 14 1/2 oz. can Contadina whole, peeled tomatoes, chopped up
- salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 cans water
Directions

1Brown meat loaf mix in hot, melted Crisco in a large pot.

2Add onion.

3Add garlic clove.

4Add tomato paste, 2 teaspoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper.

5Add water.

6Add whole tomatoes with juices, chopped into small pieces.

7Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper and bring mixture to a hard boil.

8Reduce heat to simmer, cover and let cook 2 to 3 hours.

9Stir occasionally. Remove garlic clove when done.

10Sauce can be frozen for later use.
