- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomato bits
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
- 1/3 c. dry red wine
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- salt to taste
Directions

1Brown beef and onions in a large skillet.

2Drain fat.

3Stir in remaining ingredients.

4Cover and simmer 20 to 30 minutes or until slightly thickened.
