Ingredients
- 4 or 5 stalks chopped celery
- 2 onions
- 3 green peppers, chopped
- 4 or 5 lb. ground beef
- 2 qt. tomatoes (canned)
- 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 3 or 4 bay leaves
- 1 Tbsp. basil and oregano
- 1 or 2 chopped garlic cloves
Directions

1Brown ground beef and drain.

2Simmer celery, pepper and onions and add to beef.

3Add tomatoes, tomato paste, bay leaves, basil and oregano and garlic cloves.

4Bring to a boil and add salt and pepper to taste.

5May use garlic, onion and celery salt, if desired.

6Add a little red pepper and cook slowly for about 6 hours.
