Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 4 Tbsp. olive oil (Bertoli recommended)
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 c. water
- 2 pieces celery (whole)
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp. sweet basil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Brown onion and garlic in olive oil.

2Add tomato paste and tomato sauce.

3Cook about five minutes.

4Add water, celery, parsley, sweet basil and salt and pepper to taste.

5Simmer at least 2 hours.

6Remove celery before serving.
