  • 3 pkg. French's spaghetti sauce mix
  • 3 (6 oz.) cans Contadina tomato paste
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. crushed basil
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 pods garlic, chopped fine
  • 3 pt. water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • Accent to taste (optional)
  • 1/2 c. Romano cheese

Directions

    In a large boiler, empty mix.

    Add paste, rinsing each can with 1/2 can water.

    Add undrained tomatoes (mash before adding). Add basil, oregano, onion and garlic.

    Stir well.

    Stir in 3 pints of water and sugar.

    Bring to a boil; simmer 2 hours.

    Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
