- 3 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 qt. water
- 2 sticks celery
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 2 small cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 large (16 oz.) bottle ketchup
- 1/4 c. sugar
- salt, pepper and garlic to taste
Directions

1Combine beef in 2 quarts of water, mixing beef until it comes apart.

2Add celery, pepper and onion, cut up fine.

3Cook together 45 minutes, covered (boiling).

4Remove top and add remaining ingredients and continue cooking uncovered until thick. (This will probably take four or five hours, depending upon heat setting. Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.)

5Serves 15 people.
