  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 12 cups water
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) package thin spaghetti
  • 14 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

    In 12 inch skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until beef is no longer pink.

    Drain; Stir in tomato juice, water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and spices.

    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

    Add uncooked spaghetti; stir to separate strands.

    Simmer, covered for 30 minutes more, or until spaghetti is tender.

    Sprinkle with parmesan cheese when serving.
