Spanish Cream Pie

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • sliced banana
  • 1 9 inch pie shell, baked

Directions

    Combine milk, sugar, salt and cornstarch in a saucepan and cook until thick.

    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and 1 t vanilla.

    Let cool.

    Pour into baked pie shell.

    Place sliced bananas on top, then finish off with cool whip topping or whipped cream.
