- 8 frankfurters, cut in small pieces
- 1/4 c. shortening or salad oil
- 1/2 c. diced green peppers
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 1/3 c. precooked rice
- 1 3/4 c. hot water
- 2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of hot pepper
Directions

1Brown franks in large skillet.

2Remove from pan.

3Melt shortening.

4Add green peppers, onion and rice.

5Brown, stirring occasionally, over high heat.

6Add remaining ingredients.

7Mix well and bring to a boil.

8Reduce heat.

9Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
