Spanish Onions

  • 5 to 6 onions, sliced
  • 4 slices bacon, fried and diced
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 3/4 c. bread crumbs

Directions

    Fry bacon until crisp.

    Pour soup into bacon and fat and stir. Oil dish and pour a little of the ingredients in the bottom, then place onions in dish. Put remaining sauce on onion mixture.

    Top with bread crumbs.

    Brush with margarine before you break into crumbs.

    Put in a dish and bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Serve with mashed potatoes, meat and salad.
