- 4 slices bacon
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. minced green pepper
- 2 can (2 1/2 c. ) condensed tomato soup
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
Directions

1Cook bacon until crisp in a large skillet.

2Remove bacon from pan and break into bits.

3Add onion and pepper to bacon drippings in pan and cook until soft.

4Add bacon bits and remaining ingredients.

5Cover and cook slowly 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6Remove cloves and bay leaf.

7Serve hot.
