  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 large green pepper, cut fine
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening (for frying)
  • 2 c. whole tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
