- 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 medium onion
- 2 c. water
- 1 c. uncooked regular rice
- 2/3 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook and stir hamburger and onion until light and brown; drain.

2Stir in remaining ingredients.

3Heat to boiling.

4Reduce heat.

5Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender, about 30 minutes.
