  • 5 slices bacon
  • 3 onions
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 cans tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/4 c. rice
  • 6 c. water

Directions

    Cook rice in 6 cups water.

    Cook bacon; brown onions in bacon fat until light brown.

    Drain rice and mix with ingredients.

    Put in greased casserole dish.

    Bake at 375° for 45 minutes; then turn down heat to 350° and bake 20 minutes more.
