- 3 c. rice (uncooked)
- garlic salt and pepper
- 2 (8 oz.) c. tomato sauce
- oil
- 4 1/2 c. water
- 1 pkg. sausage links
- onion (optional)
- bell pepper (optional)
Directions

1In oil, fry rice, stirring constantly until rice is brown. Season with garlic salt, pepper, etc.

2Stir-fry the onion and pepper (optional) with rice until flavor is absorbed.

3While rice and ingredients are frying, fry sausage until brown and well done. Mix sausage into rice; add tomato sauce and water.

4Stir rice lightly and cook at medium heat until water is all absorbed from rice and you can see the rice (dry).

5Do not stir rice while water is absorbing or it will become soggy.

6When all water is absorbed, cover rice tightly and simmer for 15 minutes.

7Stir rice from the bottom.

8Simmer 15 minutes more and stir again.

9Take off heat. Serve.
