- 1 3/4 c. long grain rice
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) chicken broth
- 1 broth can water
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1In a 2-quart microwave saucepan, combine uncooked rice, onion, garlic and oil.

2Cook uncovered on High 4 to 6 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring once.

3Add broth, water, tomato sauce and pepper.

4Cook uncovered on High 5 to 7 minutes or until boiling.

5Stir cook on Medium 16 to 19 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring every 5 minutes.
