- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped (if desired)
- 1 c. rice
- chili powder to taste
- cumin to taste
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Directions

1Heat oil in skillet (cast-iron works best) and saute onion, garlic, pepper and rice.

2Add seasonings and brown the rice.

3Then add the tomato sauce and 1 can water.

4Stir, cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
