  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 large green pepper, half chopped and half sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 12 teaspoons salt
  • 12 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 34 cup white rice
  • 1 cup water

Directions

    In large pot Brown beef, onion,celery and green pepper.

    Cook and drain fat.

    Add rice,water,tomatoes and sauce.Add bayleaf,sugar,salt,black peper and worcestershire sauce.

    Mix well.

    Pour into baking dish.

    Bake @375 for about 25 minutes, stir occassionally.

    Add sliced green pepper mix well and bake another 20 minutes.

    If looks dry add a 1/3 cup more water.

    If you want it to be hotter add Hot pepper flakes a shake or two.
