  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 oz. Baker's unsweetened chocolate square
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Melt chocolate with butter and sugar in double boiler; mix well.

    Allow to cool.

    Beat eggs and add with flour, vanilla, nuts and baking powder.

    Pour into greased pan, 12 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 2-inches or sheet cake pan.

    Bake 25 minutes at 375°.

    Cool before icing.
