   Measure syrup and sugar into large saucepan.

   Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; add vanilla.

   Stir in peanut butter and nuts. Add cereal and mix well.

   You can drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper and shape into clusters or press mixture evenly and firmly into buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

   When cool, cut into bars.
