- 2 c. diced apples
- 2 c. raisins
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco (not oil)
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. boiling water
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Bring apples, raisins, sugar, Crisco, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and boiling water to a boil and boil for 15 minutes. Cool.

2Add flour and soda. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake at 350° until done (glossy on top or until a toothpick comes out clean).
