  • 1 lb. can pineapple, sliced or chunks
  • 3/4 c. pineapple syrup (if needed, add water)
  • 3/4 c. white vinegar
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 4 (1-inch) sticks cinnamon
  • 4 drops red or green food coloring

Directions

    Drain pineapple, saving syrup.

    Blend all ingredients, except pineapple.

    Bring to rolling boil and cook for 10 minutes.

    Add pineapple and bring to a boil again for 1 minute.

    Remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes.

    Pour into serving dish and refrigerate.
