- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 medium head cabbage
- 2 to 3 c. chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. grated ginger root
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 2 carrots, sliced
Directions

1In a large Dutch oven, heat oil.

2Saute garlic, onion and cabbage.

3Remove outer layer of cabbage and wash.

4Shred the whole cabbage including the dark green leaves.

5Add shredded cabbage to the sauteed vegetables.

6Add chicken stock, salt, ginger root, thyme and red pepper.

7Cover and cook over medium heat about 12 minutes.

8(Be careful not to overcook.

9Cabbage should be firm and green, not soggy.) Makes 6 to 8 servings.
