- 4 qt. figs
- 2 c. vinegar
- 6 c. sugar
- 2 lemons, sliced thin
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Remove outer layer of skin from figs; place in stone jar or bowl.

2Boil other ingredients together for 10 minutes and pour over figs.

3Cover and let stand overnight.

4In the morning, drain off liquid and bring to boil.

5Add figs and cook until tender. Pack into hot jars.

6Cover with syrup and seal immediately.
