- 2 qt. apple juice or sweet cider
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2-inch piece stick cinnamon
- 1 tsp. whole allspice
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
Directions

1Mix juice (or cider) in large saucepan; add sugar and spices. Heat mixture slowly to simmering.

2Cover pan.

3Simmer 20 minutes; strain.

4Serve hot in warmed mugs.

5Garnish with cinnamon stick or orange wedge stuck with whole cloves, if desired.
