Ingredients

  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. pecan or walnut halves

Directions

    Scoop out seeds from pumpkin; wash and clean.

    Remove string as best as you can.

    Let soak in salted water overnight (1 1/2 teaspoons salt per 2/3 cup water).

    Drain well.

    Then place seeds on shallow baking pan and place in oven at 300° for approximately 20 minutes or until golden.

    Eat with or without removing the shells.
