Spiced Peaches

  • 1 (29 oz.) can cling peach halves
  • 2 tsp. whole cloves, divided
  • 1 (3-inch) piece cinnamon
  • 2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar

Directions

    Drain peach syrup into saucepan. Add the cloves and cinnamon. Stud peach halves with remaining cloves and return to peach can. Bring syrup to a boil; boil rapidly until reduced to about 1/2 cup.

    Add brown sugar and vinegar. Simmer 5 minutes.

    Pour over peaches in can.

    Let stand several hours; drain.

    Can be used to garnish turkey, etc.
