Ingredients
- 4 pears, roasted
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 2 vanilla beans, split lengthwise
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 tbsp whole cloves
- 2 whole anise stars
- 1 liter bottle of rum (10 Cane rum is recommended)
Directions

1To roast pears, core and halve them and wrap them in aluminum foil.

2Roast in a preheated 350F oven for about 25 minutes, or until the pears start to sweat and soften.

3When cool enough to handle, cut into slices.

4In a clean, dry jar, combine the sliced roasted pears and all other ingredients.

5Let sit for at least 48 hours.

6If a stronger pear flavor is desired, let sit for another 48 hours.

7Strain liquor and bottle.

8*This can be used in rum drinks, both cold and hot, or served with juice or ginger ale.
