- 4 qt. plums
- 2 c. vinegar
- 6 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cloves
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
Directions

1Wash and dry plums.

2Place them in a stone jar or bowl.

3Boil vinegar, sugar and spices together for 10 minutes.

4Pour over plums.

5Cover and let stand overnight.

6Drain off the liquid and bring to a boil.

7Add to plums and cook until plums are clear, but not broken.

8Pack in clean, hot Ball jars, filling with pickling syrup.

9Seal immediately.

10The plums should retain their color and should be firm and plump in appearance.
