  • 90 grams butter melted at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

    Preheat the oven to 180C.

    Mix the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.

    Mix the butter, sugar, and eggs (adding them one by one) in a different bowl. Add the honey, milk, and vanilla, and stir until the flour is no longer visible.

    Add the lemon zest, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and the mixed flour to the butter.

    Grease a pound cake pan and pour the dough mixture in until 3/4 filled.

    Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

    Remove it from the oven and let it cool off completely.

    Garnish the pound cake with a frosting of lemon juice mixed with powdered sugar and serve.
