Ingredients
- 1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup
- 3 medium cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
- dash of hot red pepper sauce
- 1 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp. ground turmeric
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice
Directions

1Drain pineapple; reserve 1/4 cup syrup.

2In skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.

3Saute garlic, spices and tomato paste 2 minutes.

4Add shrimp; saute 2 minutes.

5Stir in pineapple syrup and remaining ingredients; boil.

6Add pineapple; place in bowl. Accompany with picks to make kebabs.
