Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • grated cheese

Directions

    Combine first eight ingredients.

    Form into balls and place in 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Combine soup mix, water and tomato sauce and pour over meatballs.

    Cover and bake 40 minutes at 350°.

    Uncover. Top with cheese.

    Bake 10 minutes more.

    Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
