- 2 heads fresh cabbage (medium)
- 1/3 c. pickling salt
- 2 small green tomatoes
- 1 pod hot pepper
Directions

1Trim cabbage.

2Cut heads into small wedges.

3Pack into jar, placing tomatoes and pepper about midway.

4Pour salt over cabbage and add water.

5Fill pint size freezer bag with water and weight mixture down.

6Make sure water covers cabbage.

7Cover jar with dish towel, held in place with a rubber band.

8Store in warm place 10 to 14 days.

9Can the same as kraut.
