- 1 cup Cooked Rice
- 1/2 cups Vanilla Soy Milk
- 1/2 cups Whole Milk
- 1/3 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 2 pieces Orange Zest, Plus For Decoration
- 1 clove Anise Seed
- 1 clove Cardamom
Directions

1Bring all ingredients to boil, and shift to low simmer as soon as bubbles are forming at the surface.

2Cover for 40 minutes - until the rice has absorbed all liquid (be sure to check nothing is sticking to the pan).

3When done, take out the pods and peel and cool for a few minutes.

4Serve hot or cold, sprinkled with some vanilla sugar. I recommend it with a mug of caramel tea.
