  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 8 ounces process cheese (Velveeta), shredded
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1-1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

    In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter; blend in flour until smooth. Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes. Gradually stir in cheese until melted. Add spinach, bread crumbs, eggs and seasonings; mix well.

    Spoon into an ungreased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until lightly browned.
