Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Dill Weed
  • 1/2 cups Bacon Bits
  • 10 ounces, weight Drained Frozen Chopped Spinach, Thawed
  • 1 whole Pumpernickel Bread, Hollowed Out

Directions

    Mix together all dip ingredients, leaving spinach till last.

    Place in the hollowed out bread.

    Wrap in foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

    Serve with crackers.

    I normally cut a piece of the bread off at the top and put that aside, and then hollow out the bread by pulling out the insides of the bread to make a bowl.

    I later put the top of the bread back on when baking the dip.

    I have used real bacon bits for this recipe and it tastes better that the store-bought bacon bits.

    You get the real flavor of the bacon in the dip, which makes it even more fabulous.
