Spinach Lasagna

  • 2 cups small-curd cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (10-oz) pkg frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. whole oregano, crushed
  • 2 (15-oz) jars spaghetti sauce (Prego mushroom is good)
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg. lasagne noodles, uncooked
  • 1 cup water

Directions

    Combine cottage cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, egg, spinach, salt and oregano in a large mixing bowl; stir well. Spread 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce in a greased 9 X 13 inch baking dish.

    Place 1/3 of the lasagne noodles over sauce and spread with half of the cheese mixture.

    Repeat layers.

    Top with remaining noodles, spaghetti sauce and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.

    Pour water around edges.

    Cover securely with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1

    Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
