Spinach Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches (1 lb.) spinach
  • 2 small cans water chestnuts
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, sliced fine
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. catsup
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 lb. bacon, torn into little bits
  • 4 or 5 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • fresh mushrooms

Directions

    Mix together salt, Worcestershire sauce, oil, sugar, catsup and vinegar.

    Warm up.

    Wash spinach and tear up into bite-size pieces.

    Drain water chestnuts and bean sprouts; add to spinach. Add onion, eggs and mushrooms.

    Fry bacon.

    Add to spinach.

    Pour warm dressing over spinach.
