- 3 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- salt to taste
- 3 slices American cheese, cut into small pieces
Directions

1Make a white sauce by combining shortening, flour and milk. Add cooked spinach and cheese. Stir constantly until cheese melts. If you would like a more liquid soup, add more milk.
