  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. solid shortening
  • 2 c. self-rising flour (sifted)
  • 3/4 c. hot water

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in hot water.

    Add sugar and shortening.

    Add flour.

    If your batter is too stiff, add a little more hot water. Let stand 15 minutes.

    Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 450° for 12 minutes.
