- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. solid shortening
- 2 c. self-rising flour (sifted)
- 3/4 c. hot water
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in hot water.

2Add sugar and shortening.

3Add flour.

4If your batter is too stiff, add a little more hot water. Let stand 15 minutes.

5Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet.

6Bake at 450° for 12 minutes.

7Serves 6 to 8.
