- 1 1/2 c. corn meal
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Put corn meal and butter in a mixing bowl.

2Add boiling water. Stir until moistened.

3Beat in egg and milk.

4Combine baking powder, salt, flour and sugar.

5Beat into batter.

6Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

7Bake at 450° for about 30 minutes or until set and browned.
