- 4 c. milk
- 3/4 c. corn meal
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Scald milk and butter.

2Gradually stir in corn meal and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.

3Cool.

4Beat egg yolks. Stir into corn meal mixture.

5Fold beaten egg whites into corn meal mixture.

6Pour into a casserole dish.

7Set dish in a pan of water and bake in a 350° oven for 1 3/4 hours or until a knife blade, when stuck in center of bread, comes out clean.

8Yields 6 servings.
