Ingredients

  • 1 envelope dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. warm water
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 c. self-rising flour

Directions

    Dissolve the yeast in 2 tablespoons warm water. Add the 2 cups water, oil, sugar and egg.

    Mix ingredients well.

    Gradually add flour, continuing to mix well.

    Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Batter will keep for 3 to 4 days.

    Makes 2 dozen.
