  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 3/4 c. melted shortening
  • 1 egg, well beaten

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water; add egg, sugar, shortening and flour.

    Mix well and refrigerate for at least 2 to 4 hours.

    Drop by spoonful into greased muffin tins (fill to about half full). Bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes.
