Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 ounce, weight Dry Yeast (fast Rising)
  • 2 cups Lukewarm Water
  • 4 cups Self-Rising Flour
  • 1/4 cups Sugar
  • 1 whole Large Egg (slightly Beaten)
  • 3/4 cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted (I Use Parkay Sticks)

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water; set aside. Combine flour and sugar. Add yeast mixture to flour and sugar. Add egg and blend into dough. Pour melted butter or margarine and mix thoroughly.

    Drop into greased muffin tins (2/3 full) and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

    If making a small amount of dinner rolls (which was never the case at my home-I used it all to feed my little cowpokes), the remainder may be refrigerated in an airtight container for future use (within two weeks).
