Spring Lamb Roast

- 1 leg of lamb
- 1 minced onion
- 2 Tbsp. red currant jelly
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- dash of ginger
- dash of powdered cloves
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Do not wash leg of lamb, but rub well with a cloth dipped in vinegar.

2Salt and pepper the lamb; fry in hot fat on all sides. Add minced onion.

3Roast in medium oven at 375° for 1 hour and 10 minutes, basting frequently.

4Shortly before end of roasting time, mix sugar, ginger and cloves; put on roast.
